*Note: Please register for the age group that matches the participant's date of birth on the Root Soccer League Matrix below. If your date of birth does not match up to the matrix, you may be asked to move to your appropriate evaluation time block. All participants are required to evaluate on the time block they are assigned per the schedule. 
Matrix 2022-2023


The mission of the East Longmeadow Recreation Travel team tryout and selection process is to ensure that all players receive a fair opportunity to join a team of their peers possessing similar game skills.

General Information:
Tryouts are open to all resident U10-14 girls and boys. East Longmeadow takes precedence to resident players. This program requires evaluations to be considered for placement. Tryouts result in some children not being selected for this program if their skill set matches more appropriately with ELRD's in town recreational programs. Full refunds will be given to those given participants. Full refunds will be given to those given participants.
*Pricing supports uniform, league fees, and program license under Mass Youth Soccer Association.
*Evaluations are facilitated by Soccer XS licensed coaching staff.

Teams for each age group will be formed based on skill set, and the number of players that qualify to play for EL Travel soccer. The number of positions/ teams will be based on the amount of participants trying out per age group and coaches available. All participants not chosen are encouraged to play in other programs under ELRD, and are invited to try out in the future. Tryouts will be offered every spring for the fall season. 
Playing time is earned, and is not guaranteed.

U10-U14 Boys & Girls
The U10-U14 EL Travel program will be supported by volunteer parents coaches and will offer a competitive environment under the Roots League. All players are required to try-out for Fall 2022 consideration to be a part of the program.
