*The EL Girls Lacrosse Program is excited to announce that we have moved all levels into the Connecticut Valley Youth Lacrosse League (CVYL)*
Lightning (Grades K-2) – We are excited to announce for the first time in program history that our former “Little Laxers” will move into the Lightning Division of the CVYL (Connecticut Valley Youth Lacrosse League), with a strong focus in a Western MA team schedule. The program will again focus on the basics of the game, stick skills with a development into true game play. This level will have 1 practice and 1 game per week. ELRD will provide a stick to the player to keep as their own.
Bantam (Grade 3-4) – This is a developmental program to build on fundamental lacrosse skills while building their knowledge of the game. The athletes will have 2 Practices per week, will play approx. 8 league games, 1-2 Jamborees and a league Playoff at the end of the season. Players are required to have their own GIRLS lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard and cleats. *Players are expected to make a FULL commitment to the program.*
Junior (Grade 5-6) – This program will focus on further developing players skills and knowledge of the game while implementing a strong competitive environment as we build our players up to higher levels of play. Athletes will have 2 Practices per week, approx. 12 league games, 1-2 Jamborees and a Post Season Playoff format. Scores and Standings will be kept throughout the year. Players are required to have their own GIRLS lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard and cleats. *Players are expected to make a FULL commitment to the program.*
Senior (Grade 7-8) – This is an advanced level program designed to get our athletes ready for the high school lacrosse program. Athletes will have, at minimum, 2 practices per week. There will be an average of 12 league games, 1-2 Jamborees and a Post Season Playoff format. Proper scores and standings will be kept throughout the year. The program will focus on offensive and defensive strategies, transition skills and game tactics. Players are required to have their own GIRLS lacrosse stick, goggles, mouth guard and cleats. *Players are expected to make a FULL commitment to the program.*
