Learn-to-Swim lessons are great for everyone to ensure safety and skills in the water. ELRD swim instructors teaches water safety by building a loving, trusting relationship with our students, both children and adults.

Water Babies Saturdays: (6 months - 3 years old)
The goal of this course is for participants to become comfortable in the water. Basic skills, such as floating, blowing bubbles, and submerging the entire body will be covered. Parents MUST participate with their child in the water.

Pre-Beginner 1 Saturdays: Preschool 3-5
Swimmers will learn basic water safety skills and gain confidence in the water. Skills Covered: entering water by stepping or jumping from side, walking away from side of pool, turn, then returning to side independently, submerging entire head, blowing bubbles, opening eyes underwater, front and back glide, front and back float, sculling in back float position, swim 15 feet on front and 10 feet on back, swim on side.

Level 3 Saturdays
This class is for swimmers who can swim 25 yards freestyle and back stroke initially. Swimmers will increase by end of class to 50 yards of free style and back stoke and will be introduced to breast stroke and scissor kicks. Swimmers will gain confidence in strokes, learn safety skills, and build endurance. Skills covered: stroke development of front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke. survival floating and tread water for 1 minute, front and back floats, sculling on back and front, diving, underwater swimming, feet-first and head-first dives, and compact jump from height in a life jacket. Water safety and boating safety will be discussed.
