Learn-to-Swim lessons are great for everyone to ensure safety and skills in the water. ELRD swim instructors teaches water safety by building a loving, trusting relationship with our students, both children and adults.

Water Babies Weekends: (6 months - 3 years old)
The goal of this course is for participants to become comfortable in the water. Basic skills, such as floating, blowing bubbles, and submerging the entire body will be covered. Parents MUST participate with their child in the water.

Pre-Beginner 1 Weekends: Preschool 3-5
Swimmers will learn basic water safety skills and gain confidence in the water. Skills Covered: entering water by stepping or jumping from side, walking away from side of pool, turn, then returning to side independently, submerging entire head, blowing bubbles, opening eyes underwater, front and back glide, front and back float, sculling in back float position, swim 15 feet on front and 10 feet on back, swim on side.

Level 1 Weekends
This class is for swimmers to learn to swim up to 15 yards of front crawl. Swimmers will gain confidence and learn basic water safety skills. Skills Covered: jumping and stepping into 5 feet of water and returning to side independently, fully submerging while holding breath and blowing bubbles underwater, back float for 15 seconds, front float, rolling from front to back and back to front, front glide and back glide.

Level 2 Weekends
This class is for swimmers to learn to swim up to 25 yards of front crawl and backstroke. Swimmers will gain confidence in abilities, learn safety skills, and build endurance. Skills covered: jumping into deep water, headfirst dive from sitting and kneeling positions, submerging and retrieving object from shallow water, bobbing, survival float and treading water for 15-30 seconds, sculling head-first.
