Water Babies Weekends: (6 months - 3 years old) The goal of this course is for participants to become comfortable in the water. Swimmers will increase by end of class to 50 yards of free style and back stoke and will be introduced to breast stroke and scissor kicks. Swimmers will gain confidence in strokes, learn safety skills, and build endurance. Skills covered: stroke development of front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, and elementary backstroke. survival floating and tread water for 1 minute, front and back floats, sculling on back and front, diving, underwater swimming, feet-first and head-first dives, and compact jump from height in a life jacket. Water safety and boating safety will be discussed.
