Wrestling - Wrestling Grades 1-8
This is an instructional program for grades 1-8 which provides a safe and controlled environment, teaching proper wrestling moves and techniques through demonstration and drills. The program will begin by teaching and/or reinforcing the basic wrestling skills and conditioning drills while working to advance participants to a place where they feel prepared and able to attend wrestling competitions. A T-Shirt will be provided. Parents are required to purchase wrestling shoes and headgear in order for their child to participate. Wrestling shoes are required on the mats at all times. Competitions are not required however tournament attendance is strongly encouraged. The program will meet on Tuesday and Thursday Evenings in the East Longmeadow High School Small Gym. 1st-3rd Grade: 6:30-7:30pm4th-8th Grade: 6:30-8:00pm
