Baseball-Youth - Tee Ball
East Longmeadow Baseball is run by the East Longmeadow Recreation Department in cooperation with the East Longmeadow Baseball Association. Sullivan (JLS Travel Baseball): Registration closes 3/08 OR Until Full! 8U is closedThe travel level is intended for players who want to test their skills in a highly competitive environment. Players must remain max age by May 1 of 2024. The program makes its best effort to place every participate on a team. Age requirements for each division are as follows: -14u JLS: Cannot turn 15 before May 1, 2024-12u JLS: Cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2024-10u JLS: Cannot turn 11 before May 1, 2024 - 8u JLS: Cannot turn 9 before May 1, 2024**8U Registration is only for players that were evaluated and assigned to this team in the Fall of 2023. Please register for Pinto if you did not attend fall evaluations**The date for Spring Evaluations will be communicated as soon as it is available, but isexpected to be late February, early March. If you did not attend Fall Evaluations or you are signed up for our Pinto Program, attendance at evaluations is MANDATORY. Tee ball participants do NOT need to evaluate.UNIFORMS: Jerseys, hats and belts are included in registration fees. When selecting jersey sizes, please choose the size you anticipate for your child for the summer to ensure proper fitting. Please also provide a primary choice for jersey number as well as two back up choices. Parents will be required to purchase pants and socks for their child. Please visit the East Longmeadow Baseball Association Facebook page for link to the team store.***Once teams are finalized, your assigned coach(es) will determine practice times, and game schedule information will be communicated as soon as it becomes available.Pinto (Coach Pitch): Registration to close 3/08 OR Until Full!!Our coach pitch program is geared towards children who possess basic throwing, catching and hitting abilities or who are age appropriate. Basic fundamentals of the game are taught to prepare the children for travel baseball as they age up. Please consider your child’s skill level before registering.Eligible Ages 6-8 (6 by 9/1/24). Spring evaluations will be held to determine appropriate skill level and placement. Teams will be capped at 10 players when possible to maximize experience. The time commitment is 2-3 hrs/ week. If possible, please consider coaching your child’s team. Coaches will be given guidance throughout the season as needed. ***First year players or children on the border age-wise may want to consider tee ball first.Tee Ball: Registration to close March 22n OR Until Full!!! Our tee ball program is geared towards children who are entry level baseball players. Children will hit off a tee and learn basic fundamentals of the game of baseball, including throwing, catching, running of bases, etc.Eligible Ages 4-5 by 5/1/24. Teams will be capped at 10 players when possible to maximize the experience. The time commitment is 2-3hrs/wk. If possible, please consider coaching your child’s team.
