Counselor-in-Training Program 2024-Pine Knoll

Camp counselors and kids bouncing balls on a colorful parachute
The goal for the Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is to create individuals that can flourish as staff members at Pine Knoll. The CIT program is a leadership development program designed to provide hands-on learning and educational information for students entering 8th, 9th or 10th grade. Topics taught will include first-aid procedures, effective discipline techniques, enhancing individual leadership styles and planning activities.

The CIT program will be held Monday - Friday at Pine Knoll Campground (1974 Allen St, Springfield, MA). CIT's will be scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. If a CIT would like to assist staff with before and after care (7:30-9:00 AM) or (4:00-5:00PM) there would be no additional charge to participate. Hours will depend on the needs of the camp and what would be best suitable for the applicant. Camp begins on Monday, June 24, 2024 and runs through Thursday, August 15, 2024. The cost of the CIT program is $150 per week. Payment is due at sign up in full.
