Travel Basketball Program Information (Grades 3-8)
The East Longmeadow Travel Basketball Program is designed for East Longmeadow athletes in Grades 3-8 who are seeking a higher level of competition, commitment, and skill development. Travel teams compete against organizations from surrounding towns and participate in a more competitive basketball environment than our recreational program.
To ensure a fair and objective process, ELYBA has partnered with The Court of Enfield, CT to conduct this year's travel basketball evaluations. Evaluations will be held for each grade division to help create balanced and competitive teams while providing all players with an equal opportunity to be assessed.
Program Cost
If your player is selected for a travel team, the program fee will be $190.00.
Please Note:
- You will not be charged at the time of registration.
- Payment will only be required if your player is selected to a travel team.
- Families must submit payment within 5 business days of team placement notification.
Registration Information
- Travel Registration Deadline: August 28 at 4:00 PM
- A $25 late registration fee will be applied to registrations received after the deadline.
- Players must be registered in advance to participate in evaluations.
About Travel Team Evaluations
Please note that participation in evaluations does not guarantee placement on a travel team. Some players may be recommended for our recreational basketball program if evaluators determine it is the most appropriate level for their current skill development.
Players should arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled evaluation time to allow for check-in and registration verification.
Schedules, team placements, practice information, and league details will be announced following the completion of evaluations.
To better accommodate fall sports and activities, travel evaluations will be held earlier and in a single evaluation session for each grade group.

3rd/4th Grade- 4:00-5:30pm
5th/6th Grade- 5:30-7:00pm
7th/8th Grade- 7:00-8:30pm
